Alright, so Ty didn't show up to my home with his crew and megaphone, but he is here somewhere! I've got ABC's website up & I'm refreshing like crazy to find out. I may need a new mouse after today. I am a little bummed because apparently I was too late in volunteering the two of us & our services. They already have plenty of people & they're not impressed with my baking skills. Seriously? I'm a natural Betty Crocker. However, they did send me an email that I'm more than welcome to come spectate, as long as I bring a canned food item. I can do that. I might just bring my hard hat & sneek in. Either that, or I'll bring some cookies. Come on people, can you really have too many cookies?! I'll shove them down throats if I have to (just kidding people). On the food note, Chipotle is donating 300 burritos a night for 5 nights, go Chipotle! I hope this is the reason you charge so much for your food, in that case, I may have you for dinner tonight. Since I'm not wanted for any of my skills, I will gladly donate a can of beans (or 2) to go watch Ty & his crew do their thing, and to support all the other people who volunteered their time. I think they start allowing spectators on Sunday and it's thru Thursday (the final day!). I'm off work at 5pm, who's comin with?!
Just as I was about to post, ABC posted this on their wesite...
Fresno, CA, USA (KFSN) -- The Valley family chosen for the show "Extreme Makeover Home Edition" has just been revealed.
The home of Mary Ann Riojas is located at 23 E. Robinson in central Fresno. Mary Ann Riojas is a mother of four children. She was born without legs and only one fully developed arm. She has served as an ambassador for the Easter Seals program.
Her home is not equipped to deal with her physical challenges and has led to many serious injuries. In one week, Mary Ann and her four children will have a beautiful new home.

I am so excited to see what they do!
I wanted to go see the house in Middleton that they did here, but that never happened due to my crazy work schedule. Middleton to Boise is about Sanger to Fresno, not that far. I have seen the family though, the kids are patients at our office.
The work was done in July but the show didn't air until October. Keep us posted! I can't wait to see the final product. That show always makes me cry - LOVE IT!
When I saw your tagline I was reminicing to a day back in Feb. 2008. When Ty and gang showed up In Warwick, RI. He yelled GOOOOd morning Silva family and before we knew it we were off for a week in Disney while our house was rebuilt my thousands of volunteers. We had the time of our lives! We just volunteersed in CT and it was fun seeing things from the other side of things.
You're gonna HAVE to go cheer on Ty, "Move that bus!" :)
